Indigenous Action Plan

At First Aid for Everyone LTD we recognize that we live on the traditional unceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.

Here are 5 actions that we practice at First Aid for Everyone LTD as an important step
towards reconciliation with First Nations, Métis and Inuit.

1. We continuously educate ourselves. Through our own commitment to research, resource sharing, workshops and engagement with the knowledge being shared in public forums and private homes. This includes listening to the lived experiences of our indigenous participants, friends, and family.

2. We reflect on our own personal biases and actively work to dissemble them.

3. We support Indigenous artists, businesses, and organizations. Through purchasing and
promoting.

4. We watch what and how we say things. There are a lot of phrases in the english
language that discriminate or imply negative generalizations towards Indigenous people.

5. We acknowledge systemic racism still exists and that is greatly impacts First Nations,
Métis and Inuit in their daily lives.

Truth does not start and stop in a day.

Reconciliation does not start and stop in a day.

It is an ongoing process of awareness and choices.
